Chumbley's Auto Detailing: A Comic-Book Brand on the Edge of the Web
How we built ChumbleysDetailing.com — a comic-book themed Gallatin, TN auto detailing site engineered for Zorva edge hosting speed, local SEO, and AI-search visibility (GEO, AIO, AEO).

Chumbley's Auto Detailing in Gallatin, TN needed a site that matched their bold comic-book brand without sacrificing speed, mobile usability, or SEO. We delivered a custom design on Zorva edge hosting with full LocalBusiness schema, mobile-first booking flow, and AI-search optimization (GEO, AIO, AEO) so customers find them whether they Google, ask ChatGPT, or speak to Siri.
Chumbley's Auto Detailing is a Gallatin, Tennessee detail shop with a comic-book identity — bold pop colors, a superhero-style mascot, and a "to the rescue!" personality that runs through every brand asset. The challenge for the website was honoring that brand without compromising on the technical fundamentals: speed, accessibility, mobile experience, and search visibility.
The brief
Chumbley's serves Gallatin, Hendersonville, and the surrounding Sumner County area. Their audience is car enthusiasts, daily drivers wanting their vehicle to look new again, and detail-sensitive owners who care about ceramic coating and paint correction. The competition? Generic chain car-wash sites with stock photos and zero personality. The opportunity? A bold, distinctive brand that actually looks like the experience customers get on-site.
The design — comic-book DNA, modern execution
Pop pinks, primary yellows, halftone textures, and the Chumbley's mascot animated front and center on the hero. Bold custom display typography for headlines, clean readable sans for service descriptions, and "comic panel" frames around service tiers. The site reads like an issue of a 1990s comic crossed with a premium service business — it's distinctive and memorable.
Critically, the design doesn't sacrifice usability for style. Service tiers, pricing, and booking are all one tap away from any page. Brand expression and conversion optimization aren't fighting each other.
Speed — Zorva edge hosting
Bold visuals can tank performance if they're not engineered carefully. The site runs on Zorva edge hosting with PageSpeed Insights mobile scores at 95+ despite the heavy color treatment and custom illustrations. Every comic-book asset is SVG where possible, AVIF/WebP for raster images, and lazy-loaded below the fold.
Local SEO — Gallatin, Hendersonville, Sumner County
Auto detailing is the textbook local-SEO use case. The site is built around it:
- LocalBusiness schema with full NAP, hours, services, and price range
- Service-specific schema for ceramic coating, paint correction, interior detail, exterior wash, and headlight restoration
- Google Business Profile integrated with weekly post automation, photo uploads, and review requests after every job
- Keyword targeting for "auto detailing Gallatin", "car detailing Hendersonville", "ceramic coating near me", "paint correction TN"
- Geo-modified service pages for nearby cities
GEO, AIO, AEO
Modern detailing customers ask AI engines for recommendations as often as they Google. The site is structured to win those answers:
- GEO: citation-friendly content, llms.txt-style summary, AI crawlers explicitly welcomed in robots.txt — so ChatGPT and Perplexity cite Chumbley's when answering "best auto detailer near Gallatin."
- AIO: answer-first paragraphs and FAQ schema so Google's AI Overview pulls Chumbley's into the summary box.
- AEO: Speakable schema for voice search queries like "find a car detailer near me."
Mobile experience
Detailing customers browse and book from phones — often parked in the lot or sitting in the waiting room of a competitor. Mobile design priorities:
- Tap-to-call sticky button always visible
- Service tiers stacked single-column with photos
- Online booking that pre-fills service from the page they came from
- Tap-to-text for customers who'd rather DM than call
What customers see vs. what's running underneath
The visible site is a comic-book brand experience. Underneath it's a custom Next.js application on Zorva edge hosting with full schema markup, conversion tracking for Google Ads, Meta Pixel for retargeting, and the new AI-search architecture baked in.
Google Analytics, Search Console, and daily reports
The Chumbley's site ships with full Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Search Console integration on day one — verified domain ownership, sitemap auto-submitted, conversion events wired, and proper traffic-source attribution. The shop owner doesn't have to set up or maintain any of it.
A daily traffic digest email lands in the team's inbox at 7 AM CT — yesterday's sessions, top pages, traffic sources, conversions, and search impressions in a readable summary. Plus a monthly digest on the 1st of each month covering month-over-month trends. Twenty seconds of reading, full visibility, zero dashboards.
